Ethiopian Nursing Program

There is currently a shortage of nurses in the Israeli workplace in general, and at Afula's Emek Hospital, the region's largest health care center, in particular. Furthermore, among the population of nurses, the Ethiopian community is disproportionately under-represented (while the inverse is true for hospital cleaning staff).

A Nursing studies program at YVC for students of Ethiopian descent is aiming to empower motivated individuals, address the national shortage of nurses, and impact one of the weakest segments of Israeli society. Scholarships to support its students are the underpinnings of this program.

A gift of $10,000 will support one Ethiopian Nursing Student for one year.
