The first YVC Internationalization conference took place on the 8th and 9th of May 2024.

More than 30 faculty members took part in the conference, where they were introduced to the concept of academic internationalization, it’s benefits and challenges, as well as to the new YVC Internationalization office.

On the second day the participants took part in two practical workshops, taking their first steps in creating and cultivating academic international collaborations. 

Participants were very satisfied with the conference and said they are looking forward to initiating new international activities.

In February, the college hosted the annual conference of the Internationalization Office. The conference focused on the skills and tools required for collaboration and teaching in international courses.  

As part of the conference, we had the honor of hosting a fantastic series of lectures:  

• Hubertus Weyer from Hochschule RheinMain University, Germany, who delivered a lecture on international courses and academic innovation in the global academic world.  
• Keren Corley, CEO of New Sense Research, who led a workshop on decision-making in a sensory world.  
• Liz Dovrat and Denise Abutbul, who conducted a workshop on developing international collaborations.  

This conference is just one of many initiatives we’re leading to promote an international culture at YVC. 

We believe in the importance of incorporating internationalism into academic work and harnessing it for the benefit of higher education in today’s world
